The Right Time to Write a Satirical Persuasive Essay Topic
The Right Time to Write a Satirical Persuasive Essay TopicThough they may not be exactly the same as conventional persuasive essay topics, there are some satiric persuasive essay topics out there. These satirical essays usually highlight the absurdity of certain events and suggest that it is the absurdity that is the source of the problem. One example is a speech by President George W. Bush, who speaks in a very sarcastic way about the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.Though these two topics are not exactly the same as the conventional topic, there are many political situation today that are clearly absurd. For example, if someone attacks me, I do not want to wait for the litigation for hours and days before I get angry and start throwing objects. The logic of this scenario is obvious and appealing. It is the absurdity of the political situation that makes people angry.Such situations include those of torture, terrorism, and mass shootings. People on all sides are irritated at such absurdity. They become so infuriated that they immediately change their vote. If someone is involved in such an act, then he/she becomes unfit to hold office. Those who advocate such acts are perceived as mentally unstable. For those who wish to engage in a political debate on controversial issues, a satirical essay will provide the right opportunity. Unlike conventional topics, such essays can be made in a short time and can be adapted to various types of topics. The important thing is that it is capable of providing good information about the subject matter and persuading the readers. An example of a conversational essay can be written about the philosophy of a politician. It can also be written about a family dog. Both the examples could be made to entertain the readers.Any subject can be addressed with a humorous question or evena funny illustration. A satire can make a person laugh or can make him/her tear up. However, the first step is to make the topic amusing and humorous.Ther e are several examples of satiric persuasive essay topics. They can be made for various purposes. For example, a political satire can be made for a college graduate. Since the graduate belongs to a highly partisan political party, the essay could target the views and opinion of this graduate. On the other hand, a satirical essay about a family pet will not make sense for a member of a highly partisan political party. This is because a satirical essay is done by ridiculing and insulting one idea or belief system or idea. By doing this, it does not mean that everyone in the party gets an equal share of ridicule. It is just an attention-grabbing exercise and for a political leader, it can be used for his advantage.
